Dear Silver Streak Families,
Our goal this summer is to provide opportunities to reinforce key concepts in reading, writing, and math. Please use the reading lists provided as reading titles for your child. These titles can be found at any public library or at a local book store. Once your child has read from the Florida Best List of he/she upcoming grade level, please have your child write a short summary. Your child can also read from the 2025-2026 Sunshine State Young Reader Award books to get a head start for the brag tags (80% or higher on the test) and earn his/her spot on the Battle of the Book team. When your child comes back to school in August, your child will receive a prize if he or she passes an AR test on these books of an 80% or higher. Your child can use his or her notes while taking the test on any books read over the summer.
There are also math packets (use the grade level your child just completed) for you to download and print. The school is also able to print upon request or your child can write down the answers on notebook paper and turn in for a prize in August.
